Vision, translated into reality.

The convictions that guided four decades of building — and the people who lead MAG Group Holding today.

The founding conviction

Leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality.

01 — The founder

Moafaq A. Al Gaddah

Founder & Chairman, MAG Group Holding

Founder and Chairman of MAG Group Holding. Born in Syria and a young trader in Kuwait before relocating to Abu Dhabi in 1978, where he founded an automotive spare-parts business with modest savings (about KD1,000). Over four decades he built it into a diversified group spanning commercial trading, freight, contracting, industrial operations, healthcare, hospitality and real estate. The name 'MAG' derives from his initials. He has been recognised with honours including the ABLF Business Excellence Award (2017) and placements among the World's Most Influential Arabs.

S/02 — His philosophy

How he leads.

01

Vision into action

The founding conviction of the brand: a vision only matters once it is built. Leadership, in his words, is the ability to translate vision into reality — and to dare to act on it.

The two statements the brand places at its centre are not slogans but a method. A vision is a direction; execution is the work. Across four decades the pattern repeats — an opportunity understood early, then patiently built rather than merely announced.

Leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality.

02

Integrity and trust

The group was built on relationships that outlasted individual transactions — honouring the deal, and being known for doing so.

Integrity is the first of the values the brand names. In a trading business, trust is the actual asset: it is what lets a small merchant become a counterparty people return to. That principle scaled with the company from spare parts to property.

03

Building people, not just businesses

Leadership as inspiration rather than instruction — motivating a team to move together toward a shared goal.

In his own account of the early years, the achievement was never solo: it required continually motivating and working alongside the team, because the destination could only be reached together. Empowerment is named among the brand's core values for this reason.

لتحقيق أحلامي، كان عليّ أن أحفز فريقي باستمرار وأعمل معهم، لأننا معاً سنحقق المستقبل الذي نتخيله ونخطط له

04

Long-term thinking

Diversification financed by cash flow and patience — expanding into adjacent sectors only once they could be learned and sustained.

The group grew by adjacency: spare parts to accessories, trade to shipping, and eventually into property. Each step was close enough to the last to be learned, and the whole was consolidated into a durable holding structure rather than a collection of bets.

05

Family enterprise and succession

An institution designed to outlast its founder — values transferred deliberately to the next generation while the founder remains its anchor.

The clearest expression of long-term thinking is succession. The next generation took on executive roles while the founder continued as Chairman — a model the sources describe as complementary rather than a simple handover, with continuity of values as the point.

06

Innovation and excellence

A willingness to move the enterprise toward what comes next — from property into wellness-integrated living and new financial technology.

Innovation and excellence close the brand's list of values. The recent chapters — wellness-integrated developments and digital approaches to real assets — express a group still reaching forward, even as this archive holds their specific figures to account.
